The Chief of GS of ARM, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski participated in Chiefs Transformation Conference 2017 (COTC17), which took place at the NATO Allied Command Transformation in Norfolk – Virginia, the USA.
The conference held under the motto: “Prepare for tomorrow, share the future” was opened by Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Rose Gottemoeller and Supreme Commander of NATO for Transformation, General Denis Mercier, aimed to promote the cooperation and share innovations with the participants, and improve the transformation processes of NATO and the partner armies.
During the conference, Lieutenant General Velichkovski took part in the debates at the forum sessions, and met NATO senior military executives of partner armies exchanging experiences from ARM activities and partner armies, identifying potential cooperation areas.
The interlocutors expressed their support and words of praise for the high level of training and results that ARM demonstrate when accomplishing required interoperability for acquiring a full NATO membership.
At the two-day conference, there were five syndicate topics, including “Future Capability Development”, “Leadership, Professional Development and Talent Management”, “More Effective Decision Making”, “Future Sustainment” and “More improved and agile Joint Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (JISR) for future operations”.
The importance of this conference is confirmed by the presence of great number of senior executives, participants from all 29 NATO nations, partner nations, NATO Allied Command Transformation, as well as representatives of the military industry.
