The servicemen of Special Operations Regiment (SOR) of ARM (a team from the Special Forces Battalion) together with special forces from the armies of Balkan countries took part in the international joint exercise “B-9” from 20-26 of October in Republic of Serbia.
Except servicemen of SOR as representatives of Army of Republic of Macedonia and servicemen of Army of Republic of Serbia as a host, the following countries also sent servicemen from their special forces: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Turkey and Montenegro. There were thorough and detailed preparations before this exercise which was done on a few planning conferences. Exercise “B-9” has been held as a result of the initiative by the chiefs of staff of armies of Balkan countries.
On the VIP Day, the SOR Commander Colonel Vasko Gjurchinovski represented the Army of Republic of Macedonia.
