A delegation of high military officials and cadets from the military schools paid a three-day visit to our country continuing the tradition of commemorating the graduation of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk from the Military High School in Bitola, which is a part of the excellent cooperation with the Armed Forces (AF) of the Republic of Turkey.
Yesterday, at the General Staff there was a meeting between the leader of the delegation Brigadier General Altan Er and the Deputy Chief of the General Staff Major General Azim Nuredin during which the cooperation between our Army and the AF of the Republic of Turkey was discussed as well as the continuous support given by the Republic of Turkey to our army.
The DCGS addressing the attendees of the ceremony said that the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s work will last striving together with our mutual friendship. We are proud that a military leader like him had been educated and lived in our country, said general Nuredin. He quoted the well-known phrase” Peace at home, Peace in the world”, saying that it should be an incentive for maintaining the traditional friendship between our countries, with the possibility for future improvements, not only in the area of the defence but also in other segments of our lives and work.
The ceremony commemorating the 120th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s graduation took place at Bitola Museum and there was also a tree planting, visit to the Memorial Room, and a poetry reading by the cadets honoring the life and work of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
