Today (December 24th) the new ARM service uniform was presented at the Army Home in Skopje in front of the Minister of Defence Talat Xhaferi, the Chief of General Staff of the ARM Lieutenant General Gorancho Koteski, MOD and GS key personnel, representatives from the Cabinet of the President of the Republic of Macedonia, retired ARM generals and media representatives.
The presentation featured the models of the winter and summer service uniform with insignia of the ARM officers and non-commissioned officers, and the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the process of standardization, selection and preparation of fabric and design of the uniform.
Minister Xhaferi said that in addition to the set that constitutes the service uniform for the ARM officers, there are ongoing consultations on the making of the upper part of the service winter uniform, which will not consist of a classic raincoat as it was before, but it will be created by designers. He noted that the opinion of the ARM members had a crucial role in the choice of the color, the fabric quality and the design of the new service uniform.
Lieutenant General Koteski expressing satisfaction with the huge media interest for the presentation of the new ARM service uniform said that the creation and adoption of the new ARM service uniform has gone through several phases, where not only associates and designers were consulted but also the ARM members of all commands and units.
The production of the new service uniform which will be worn by the ARM officers and non-commissioned officers is expected to be implemented during 2014.
