Today, 30 July 2013, the President of the Republic of Macedonia and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, D-r Gjorge Ivanov, visited the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the ARM in the framework of his visit to the NATO Liaison Office in the Republic of Macedonia.
The President Ivanov was welcomed at the plateau in front of the MOD and ARM building with military honoraries. He had a meeting in the NATO Liaison Office and then a working meeting with the Minister of Defence Talat Xhaferi and the Chief of General Staff of the ARM, Major General Gorancho Koteski. At their meeting, the new ARM web page was presented in front of President Ivanov, who symbolically launched the page into use. The meeting in the MOD and ARM was also used to brief the President on the ongoing activities in the MOD and ARM, as well as with the plan for the annual marking of the Army Day.
The The Chief of General Staff of the ARM underlined that the promotion of the ARM web page is a historical moment for the Army, as it will signify an achievement of the commitment for greater transparency and a so-called “window to the world” for the ARM and its members.
