Today, the Deputy Commander of the United States Army Europe and Africa, Major General Joseph Jarrard, paid a work visit to the General Staff of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, and the Ministry of Defense.
During his stay, General Jarrard had a meeting with the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, where they discussed past cooperation, upcoming mutual exercises with the Command of the United States Army Europe and our contribution in the peace support operations. Generals Nuredin and Jarrard noted the excellent cooperation in the activities with exercises organized by this Command of the United States.
Previously, in the Ministry of Defense, General Jarrard met with the State Secretary Dragan Nikolic.
Today’s visit continued in the military barracks in Shtip, where General Jarrard, accompanied by the Commander of 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Sashko Lafchiski, attended the tactical demonstration exercise performed by members of the Army preparing for tasks within the KFOR mission. The preparations and training of army personnel prior to participation in PSO, as well as the operations they carry out, were all presented to the distinguished guest.
Continuing our excellent military cooperation, Republic of North Macedonia will be the host of the international exercise “Quick Response 22”, organized by the Command of the United States Army Europe.
