A voluntary blood donation activity was realized in the City General Hospital “8 Septemvri” today on the occasion of 20th of May – Logistic Base Day in accordance with the annual plan and program for the realization of blood donation activities, where members of the Logistic Base as well as some of the subordinate units donated blood.
During the voluntary blood donation activity which was organized in cooperation with The Institute for Transfusion medicine, members of the Logistic Base provided 21 units of blood for the needs of health institutes in the current epidemiological crisis, at the same time respecting all measures and protocols for protection and prevention from the Coronavirus “COVID – 19”.
Teams from the Institute for Transfusion medicine from Skopje, along with the International Red Cross expressed their gratitude to the members of the Army for the units of blood they gave and for the traditionally successful cooperation.
