In the period from 1 to 26 April, 2024, the “Basic and Advanced Course for Lifesavers” was held at the Medical Training Department (MTD) within the Military Medical Center. Members of several units from the Ministry of Interior took part in course: Rapid Deployment Unit, Special Anti-Terrorist Unit “Tiger”, Special Support Unit and Department for the Protection of Specific Persons and Facilities.
The course participants mastered the life-saving skills in the case of medical emergency, urgent care of injured and ill, triage, evacuation and rapid transportation to an appropriate medical facility, all these through theoretical and practical input. The participants demonstrated the acquired individual skills, and the team capacities for pre-hospital care of injured and ill, at the final exercise conducted in front of representatives from their units, who also had their own address at the closing ceremony and the awarding of certificates. The acquired knowledge, techniques and skills are important for the participants’ professional development in the units.
