Initial analysis from all participants of the disaster response exercise “National Response 2019”, held from 16.09. to 19.09.2019, was carried out in the Joint Operations Command in Kumanovo, in order to fully implement the Exercise Plan.
Addressing the participants of the analysis the Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command, Brigadier General Orce Jordev emphasized the successful implementation of the exercise, as well as the importance of the exercise, which was one of the high priorities of the Joint Operations Command for 2019. General Jordev noted that this exercise showed how institutions should operate when dealing with natural disasters.
The exercise director, Colonel Zhikica Jovanovski, praised the participants’ efforts and their contribution to the preparation and implementation of the “National Response 2019” exercise, stressing the importance of the exercise, as well as the mutual cooperation of all stakeholders in the system.
The main purpose of the exercise was to demonstrate the operational capabilities of JOC working together with other Army units, CMC, PRD, MOI, governmental and non-governmental agencies when dealing with natural disasters.
