The members of the nuclear, biological and chemical defense company (NBCD), of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) marked the Day of the Unit at the ”Chojlija” barracks in conditions when the personnel of the unit are engaged in preventing the infection with the coronavirus.
The commander of the 1st Infantry Division, Colonel Besnik Emini, with the heads of sections of the command, the NBCD officer from the General Staff of the Army and the former commanders of the unit attended the ceremony.
The Commander of the 1st Infantry Division, Colonel Emini, in his address on the occasion of the Day of the Unit spoke of the activities undertaken in the past period, as well as, the tasks and obligations that follow in the next period, as this is the only unit with special obligations and tasks in the Army and the country.
The unit is made up of highly trained personnel, who can provide NCB protection at any time, both to Army units and to civilian structures in the country, which is now being demonstrated in practice in dealing with the COVID-19 virus pandemic.
Finally, congratulatory and stimulating measures were announced for the members of the unit at the ceremony on the occasion of the day of the unit and the 2nd section from the 2nd platoon was declared the best section.
