The medals were handed by the Chief of Staff of the ISAF mission, Colonel General Kenan Hűsnűoğlu, while Major General Reinhard Wolski, in his address, pointed out the contribution to the base security of the Macedonian contingent, and stated words of praise for the conscientious execution of the given tasks.
The NATO medal for the service in the ISAF mission is awarded to mission participants, who participated for at least 30 days in the mission, and since 2011, the number for multiple participation in the mission is also added to the medal ribbon.
Until present day, more than 3000 members of the ARM have been awarded the medal for participation in the ISAF mission, and this number places us in the group of nations with highest number of participants in the mission.
