On November 20 (Wednesday) in the barracks “Strasho Pindzur” in Petrovec at 11:00 am, a briefing was held on the combat readiness of the subordinate units in front of the Commander of the First Mechanized Commander Infantry Brigade (1st MIB), Brigadier General Pavle Arsoski, and in the presence of the entire headquarters of the 1st MIB.
The commanders of the subordinate units demonstrated the level of combat readiness of their units, the condition of the personnel, maintenance of the material and equipment assets and the condition of the armaments.
According to the new structure of the ARM forces, resulting from the continuous process of defense reforms, respecting the need to build effective, mobile and capable army, which will continue to strengthen the good relations with NATO member countries. Its objective is to increase the compatibility and interoperability with the NATO forces, both domestically and abroad in missions where ARM participates for a longer period now. At the same time it represents an additional mechanism for quick and effective response to every potential contemporary challenges, risks and threats.
In addition to the annual analysis by the commander and the staff of the 1st MIB, guidance was also provided for further work of the subordinate commands until the end of 2013 and the next year.
