On the 7 of May 2026, in accordance with the Annual Training Calendar, the Engineering Battalion (EngBn), within the First Infantry Brigade, conducted a commander’s reconnaissance in the eastern part of the country, in the area of Berovo. Key personnel from the command and staff, as well as the commanders of the subordinate companies took part in the activity.
The purpose of this activity was reconnaissance and familiarization with the terrain as part of tactical planning training and assessment of the military-geographical characteristics of the area, the possibilities for organizing defense, as well as improving coordination and cooperation with other entities in the region.
As part of the activity, service personnel of the Engineering Battalion visited the Museum of the City of Berovo and Berovo Lake, where they had the opportunity to become more closely acquainted with the cultural-historical and natural features of the region.
