On March 23, 2026, members of the Reconnaissance-Intelligence Battalion successfully carried out a commander’s reconnaissance in the Ponikva area.
Operating in unfamiliar and complex mountainous terrain in this region requires a high level of training, caution, orientation, and discipline. The terrain characterized by dense forests, steep slopes, and limited visibility, poses a serious challenge for conducting reconnaissance tasks, especially in conditions of restricted communication and changing weather.
Despite the challenging weather conditions, the tasks were successfully completed, demonstrating the unit’s high level of physical and mental readiness, coordination, and professionalism.
Through such activities, the Reconnaissance-Intelligence Battalion continues to maintain and enhance its combat readiness, contributing to the overall operational capability of the Army.
