Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, visited today the Operations Command in the “Boro Menkov” Barracks in Kumanovo, where he met with the Commander, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Mirce Gjorgoski and the senior officers in the HQ.
During today’s visit, Minister Misajlovski was briefed on the mission and tasks performed by this Command, the main force of the Army, which encompasses most of the army units of all branches and services that jointly contribute to the protection of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state and to the peace and security support operations led by NATO, the United Nations and the European Union.
At today’s briefing, Minister Misajlovski thanked all Command members for everything they have done so far and said that he will support all the activities and needs of this Command and its units to the greatest extent.
“I want to get to know our members, keepers of peace and security up close, get to know your needs and situation so that we do everything necessary to enable you to do your job flawlessly.” I am your ally that you can rely on,” Minister Misajlovski said.
At the briefing, Minister Misajlovski was briefed on the future steps of the Operations Command with respect to equipping and modernization, training and exercises, and the introduction and implementation of NATO standards.
