The Minister of Defense, Vlado Misajlovski together with the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin and the Operations Command Chief of Staff, visited the First Infantry Brigade and the Air Force WING at barracks ‘Strasho Pindјur’ in Petrovec.
During the visit, a briefing on the mission and formation of the unit was given, and the Commander of the 1st InfBde, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski informed the minister of the prospects, capacities and equipment of the unit; the process of modernization and the achieved NATO capabilities. In addition, they visited the memorial-room at the 1st InfBde Command, with a short briefing on the history of the unit. In the end, there was a display of equipment of the 1st InfBde, such as, engineer vehicles, light infantry armament, equipment for day and night surveillance, signals equipment and other.
Upon visiting the Air ForcenWING, minister Misajlovski was familiarized with the mission, activities, conditions and capacities of the WING by the Commander, Colonel Igorcho Stoimenovski and the key personnel.
Furthermore, the minister was informed on the activities of members engaged in combating wildfires on terrain and in air, in accord with the declared crisis situation.
