From 16 to 19 December, at the Jane Sandanski Barracks in Shtip, the Medical Platoon of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, within the 1st Infantry Brigade, together with instructors from the United States Armed Forces (HQ USAFE), conducted a workshop on the topic “Medical Logistics and Standard Operating Procedures in Medical Platoons – TTX.”
In cooperation with representatives of the United States Armed Forces, the implementation of new standards in equipment and the necessary amendments to standard operating procedures, with the aim of their application within the Light Infantry Battalion Group were discussed.
As part of the training, a Level 1 Medical Facility (ROLE 1) was established, with a medical station deployed at a secure location, enabling practical field training, treatment of casualties, and their subsequent evacuation to a higher level of medical care.
Representatives of the Balkan Medical Task Force, the U.S. Embassy, the Air Force Brigade, the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion, and the Military Police Battalion also attended the workshop.
At the end of the activity, a working meeting was held, during which improvements were discussed with regard to training, logistics, future activities, and the evaluation of the medical platoon.
