Today, at barracks “Mirce Acev” in Prilep, by laying fresh flowers in front of the bust, the Patron Day and the 81st anniversary of the death of the national hero Mirce Acev was marked.
In the barracks in Prilep, fresh flowers were laid by a delegation from the command of the 1st Infantry Brigade, the Artillery Battalion, the Municipality of Prilep, and the Union of Veterans from Prilep and the Secondary School “Mirce Acev”.
Rubincho Belcheski, president of the Union of Veterans and tradition-bearers of the Anti-Fascist Movement and heritage, and advisor curator – historian at the Prilep Institute and Museum and the Commander of the artillery battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Slavcho Kuzmanoski addressed the audience and spoke about the life and work of the national hero Mirce Acev. Lieutenant Colonel Kuzmanoski stressed that the commemoration of the Patron Day strengthens the traditions of the rich Macedonian culture and that the Army members are obligated to respect the deeds and lost lives of all fighters for a free and independent country.
