On the occasion of the commemoration of 23 years since the tragic death of the Commander of the Military Police Battalion, Captain 1st Class Ljupco Mirchovski, today (March 28, 2024) in front of the Command of the Military Police Battalion (MPBn) in the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje, by reading the biography of the deceased officer, Army members were reminded of the act and the selfless sacrifice he made to preserve the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our homeland during the 2001 conflict.
Representatives from the Ministry of Defence (MoD), from the General Staff of the Army (GS) and from the Operations Command (OC) of the Army, the Commander of the Training and Doctrines Command (TRADOC), former Commanders from the MPBn and Commanders of the units within the Skopje garrison (“Ilinden” barracks – Skopje) expressed their condolences to the family of the deceased Commander and laid fresh flowers at the Memorial in front of the MPBn Command.
“We will always remember his contribution to the Military Police and he will never be forgotten; we will proudly remember the Commander and his accomplishments, and we will always be proud to have been his colleagues” – it was emphasized at today’s commemoration.
