On 05.03.2026, a delegation from the Second Infantry Battalion (2nd IBn) of the First Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) attended the commemoration marking the 25th anniversary of the death of Captain Kircho Dimitriov.
The delegation, led by the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Sumrachki, laid fresh flowers at the memorial bust in Vinica, paying tribute to the life and work of the captain. As part of the activities, a memorial blood donation was also organized in his honor, during which twenty members of the 2nd Infantry Battalion voluntarily donated blood, demonstrating the humanitarian spirit and social responsibility of the members of the 1st Infantry Brigade.
Due to the successful cooperation between the Municipality of Vinica, the 2nd Infantry Battalion and the Army, the Commander of the Second Infantry Battalion was presented with a certificate of appreciation as recognition for the support and joint cooperation until now.
