Today, 27 August 2026, at military barracks ‘Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu’ in Tetovo members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3rd IBn), part of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde), held a military ceremony to commemorate 27 August – Day of the Unit.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, commanders of the subordinate units of the 1st IBde, representatives of the Brigade HQ, former commanders of the 3rd IBn, local government representatives and other guests.
In his speech marking the Unit Day, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski emphasized: ‟Professionalism, training, competence and selflessness are your distinctive attributes, and they are the guarantee that the 3rd Infantry Battalion will be up to the task and successfully face the challenges, now and whenever it is required.‟
The Commander of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mile Stanoevski, pointed out that marking this date serves as a reminder of the centuries-long struggle and aspirations of many generations before for a free and independent state, as well as an opportunity to pay tribute to our heroic ancestors and their deeds.
On the occasion of the Day of the Unit, congratulatory messages and orders regarding incentives for members of the battalion were read, while the 1st Infantry Platoon of the 1st Infantry Company was declared the best platoon within the 3rd IBn. The ceremony created an opportunity to acknowledge the achieved results and reaffirm the tradition, professionalism and dedication of the unit’s personnel in carrying out their assigned tasks.
