On October 29, 2025, at the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje, members of the Military Police Battalion (MPBn) celebrated the 29 October – Military Police Battalion Day with a military ceremony.
In his address, the Commander of the MPBn, Lieutenant Colonel Toni Pavloski, emphasized that the history of the Battalion has been written with hard work, sacrifice and selfless service to the homeland from the first days of its formation until today. “The members of the Battalion demonstrate their professionalism, loyalty and readiness to respond to every task – regardless of whether it is about securing facilities of vital importance for the Army and the country, securing and protecting senior military leaders, detecting and preventing crimes in defense, maintaining order and discipline in the Army, controlling and regulating military traffic, participating in peace support operations, or supporting civilian institutions in times of crisis and natural disasters” said Lieutenant Colonel Pavloski, urging the members of the Battalion to cultivate the cohesion, professionalism and cooperation that make this unit special.
The Commander of the Operations Command (CO), Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, in his speech praised the members of the Military Police Battalion for the successful completion of a large number of tasks, thus confirming their high level of professionalism for more than 30 years, both in the country and internationally, where the unit has confirmed its interoperability and high level of training. He also encouraged them to continue to successfully perform their tasks in the field of defense with maximum engagement, professional development and application of modern military-police training in the future, as before, and to achieve top results in building combat readiness and overall capability for defending the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Azim Nuredin, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, the Director of the Directorate for Security and Intelligence in Defense, Colonel Igor Jankulovski, the Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, the Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Prof. Dr. Nenad Taneski, commanders of units in the Army, former commanders and members of the unit, representatives from the Ministry of Interior and other guests.
During the ceremony, incentive measures were awarded to members of the MPBn who achieved notable results in their work, the best individuals and the best unit within the MPBn for 2025 were announced, and appropriate recognitions were presented to those who met the legal requirements for retirement.
As part of the celebration of the Day of the Unit, a voluntary blood donation campaign was carried out in cooperation with the City General Hospital “8 September” in Skopje. In the campaign, the members of the Military Police Battalion showed and confirmed their humanity by voluntarily donating 20 blood units.
