On the occasion of “October 21” the Day of the Signals Battalion, in the barracks “Ilinden” – Skopje, a military ceremony was held, respecting the recommendations and protection measures against “COVID-19”.
The ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Major General Pavle Arsoski, representatives of the General Staff of the Army, commanders of the Army units, former commanders of the Signals Battalion, representatives of local governments, as well as representatives of affiliated companies.
In his address, Major General Pavle Arsoski stressed that the members of the Signals Battalion are top professionals and perform this extremely responsible job in extremely complex conditions, in order to ensure the smooth functioning of the command and control system of Army commands and units.
In his speech, the Signals Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ilija Damchevski, among other things, emphasized that the Battalion is an extremely important component of the army organisation, where according to the mission it sets up, maintains and implements stationary and mobile communications, ie integrates them into a global Army system, indispensable for peace and war times command and control.
On the occasion of the Day of the unit, a blood donation action was held in the GH “8 September ” in which a large number of members of the unit took part.
Incentives were read and given at the ceremony. Part of the communication systems of the battalion was, also, shown. It was operated by highly trained and professional officers and civilians, who successfully performed their mission.
Today, in this modern living environment, information management is of utmost importance, thus the Signals Battalion lives and works under the motto INFORMATION IS POWER.
