A celebration marking the day of the Air Defence (AD) was held at the barracks “Straso Pindzur” in Petrovec. The ceremony was attended by Air Force Brigade Commander, Colonel Robert Malezanski, First Mechanized Infantry Brigade Deputy, Section Chiefs and Commanders of the Air Brigade Subordinate Units, Former Commanders and Former ADB members, and other guests.
Addressing the attendees, the ADB Commander, Lt. Zoran Cikarski, highlighted the success and the achievements in 2018 and 2019, with emphasis on the international military exercise “Rapid Response 2019” in the Republic of Slovenia, where members of the ADB team, with their hard work, professional attitude, loyalty and responsibility in accomplishing their assigned tasks, have achieved respectable results.
The Commander of the ADB, in his address, congratulated the day of the unit to all unit members, and noted that they successfully accomplished all their tasks, for which they have received numerous recognitions. ADB successfully managed the organization and realization of the exercises in the series “Challenge”, and the declared ADB platoon, which is part of the MIBG, has successfully completed all national and NATO assessments.
A congratulatory message from the Chief of General Staff, the JOC Commander, the ADB Commander, to the members of the ADB was read out in front of the line. In addition, stimulation rewards were awarded on the day of the unit. At the same time, 2 (second) rocket battery was declared as the best unit within ADB.
