Today 11th March in the barracks “Boro Menkov” in the garrison Kumanovo there was a military celebration in honor of the Reserve Forces Day.
With the decision of the President of the Republic of Macedonia and Commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces PhD Gorge Ivanov 11th March is designated as the Reserve Forces Day, the date of the taking over of the first guardhouse, and a date that together with other important dates establish the foundation of traditions of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations Command (JOC), commanders of the subordinate units of JOC, chiefs of sections from JOC, former commanders of the unit, representatives of the Association of Partisan fighters and state and local organizations from Kumanovo were present at the celebration.
In his speech the commander of the unit emphasized that they are proud that they are of the traditions of this historical event when on the guardhouse “Ramna niva” in Kriva Palanka the flag of the Republic of Macedonia flew for the first time, which rounded off the territorial integrity of our country and marked the foundation of ARM.
