Today, at “Strasho Pindzur” barracks in Petrovec and “Mirche Acev” barracks in Prilep, by laying fresh flowers, the Patron Day and the 79th anniversary of the national heroes Strasho Pindzur and Mirche Acev deaths, was marked.
At the barracks in Petrovec fresh flowers were laid by delegations from the Operations Command, the Infantry Brigade Command, the Air WING and representatives from the Municipality of Kavadarci. At the barracks in Prilep fresh flowers were laid by delegations from the Operations Command, the 1st Infantry Brigade, the Artillery Battalion, the Municipality of Prilep, The Union of Veterans from Pilep, and “Mirche Acev” High School from Prilep.
A representative of the museum from Kavadarci spoke about the life and deed of the national hero Strasho Pindzur in front of the audience at the barracks in Petrovec. At the barracks in Prilep, the Commander of the Artillery Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Slavcho Kuzmanovski addressed the audience, talked about the life and deed of the national hero Mirce Acev, and stressed that the marking of the Patron Day strengthens the traditions of the rich Macedonian history and that the members of the Army are obligated to respect the deeds and the lost lives of all fighters for a free and independent country.
