Today, at the military barracks “Boro Menkov” in Kumanovo, there was a celebration of its patron by laying fresh flowers at the bust of the national hero Boro Menkov while abiding by the recommendations for preventing the spread of Covid-19. Namely, it has been 79 years since the national hero got killed in a fight with the enemy in the vicinity of the village Belanovce. He was a serviceman of the Karadachki partisan troop, which was destroyed only two days after it had been established.
Deputy Commander of the 1st Infantry Battalion, Major Shpejtim Cherimi, gave a speech about the life and work of the national hero, Boro Menkov, whose name is given to the military barracks, “Boro Menkov”.
There were many guests at the celebration including, the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), General Major Pavle Arsoski, Deputy Commander of the OC, Brigadier General, Orce Jordev, Chief of Staff of OC, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski and the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Colonel Besnik Emini who led a delegation from the Command and the Staff of the 1st Infantry Brigade.
As part of the celebration, there was a blood donation action in the garrison of Kumanovo, and 40 blood units were donated.
