At the “Kuzman Josifovski –Pitu” barracks in Tetovo, with a military ceremony, members of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3rdIBn) of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1stIBde), and other units stationed at the barracks marked February 25th– the Patron’s Day of the barracks, and the 81st anniversary of the death of national hero Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu.
The event was attended by: a delegation from the 1stIBde Command and Staff, a delegation from the 3rdIBn, representatives from National Liberation Fighters’ Association – Tetovo, National Liberation Fighters’ Association – Gostivar, the Organisation of Reserve Officers of Macedonia (OROM) from Tetovo, the Association of Military Invalids, the Committee of Defenders of Tetovo, and representatives from local government, government and non-government organizations, as well as representatives from the state and private sectors with whom the Tetovo garrison command has excellent cooperation. They all paid tribute to national hero Kuzman Josifovski –Pitu by laying wreaths of fresh flowers.
The Commander of the 3rdIbn, Lieutenant Colonel Tomica Ristoski, gave a speech on the occasion of the patronal holiday of the barracks in Tetovo. He reflected on the life and accomplishments of Kuzman Josifovski – Pitu, emphasizing that by marking the patronage every year we contribute to keeping his name and legacy alive in the memories of future generations.
Earlier, on the occasion of this day, a Blood donating activity was carried out by the personnel of Tetovo garrison, during which 89 blood units were donated.
