Before the Day of the 1st Infantry Brigade, military simulation games are held for the first time this year, in the Barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip.
The opening of the games was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde), Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski, personnel from the command and headquarters of the 1st Infantry Brigade, the battalion commanders from the 1st Infantry Brigade, the US defense attaché Colonel Michael S. Tarquinto, Lieutenant Colonel Sean Rufolo from the US Defense Cooperation Office and Captain Casey Luke, the the 4th SFAB representative. The commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade told the participants and teams that with this type of competition, besides abilities, team spirit and work ethic are also built. Then he wished success to all the competitors and declared the games open.
15 teams will participate in the four-day competition, in the following disciplines: military range, endurance range, armament range, use of training hand grenade, topographical march with shooting under load, rope movement techniques and cross fit range.
Certificates were also awarded today to the young officers of the 1st Infantry Brigade and the OC units that successfully completed the training cycle carried out by the personnel of the 4th SFAB third contingent. The members of the 4th SFAB were awarded certificates and gratitude was expressed for their support and exchange of experiences, as well as for the successfully conducted training and mentoring in the units of the 1st Infantry Brigade.
