In the camp “Strela” at the army range “Krivolak”, with the lineup of some members of the Light Infantry Battalion, obeying the measures for protection from “COVID-19”, was marked the beginning of a month of collective training with the help of a team of instructors from the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom.
The Commander of the Light Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Stojanche Kostov, thanked the members of the instructors’ team, who selflessly and with great professionalism support them in the training process in order to achieve the necessary standards for conducting operations of light infantry units. He noted that only with dedication and perseverance in performing the tasks will be created well-trained soldiers able to respond to all challenges.
In the period following the full implementation of the necessary formation elements, the battalion will start with the realization of the preparations for participation in one of the largest international exercises planned on Macedonian soil, the exercise “Decisive Strike-21”, as well as the preparations for unit assessment and NATO assessment of the battalion after CREVAL (Combat Readiness Evaluation) in April 2022.
