On 10 June 2026, at the barracks of “Chojlija” in the Petrovec, Army service personnel marked the 25th anniversary of the deaths of Captain Sinisha Stoilov and Soldier Fejzo Dzheladinovski, who served in the former Tank Battalion (TBn) and were killed during the 2001 conflict. The commemoration was held by laying fresh flowers at the memorial plaque located within the military barracks compound.
There were several people attending the ceremony including former service personnel from the TBn, service personnel from the Engineer Battalion (EngBn), a delegation from the 1st Infantry Brigade (1InfBde), a delegation from the Municipality of Zrnovci, and family members of the fallen servicemen, all of whom laid fresh flowers at the memorial plaque.
Commemorating the fallen members is a duty that Army personnel regard as an obligation toward their colleagues who gave their lives in defense of the homeland and in protection of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our homeland. Army service personnel are proud to have had brave and dedicated colleagues and comrades-in-arms in their ranks, whose memory they will cherish forever.
