On the 21st and the 23rd November, 2022 military representatives of US Embassy to the Republic of North Macedonia visited the Operations Command (OC), the Command and Staff of the First Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) and the Air Force WING (AF WING).
US Embassy delegation included the US Defense Attaché to the Republic of North Macedonia, Colonel Michael Tarquinto; US Air Attaché Lt Colonel Eric Gustafson and Lt Colonel Sean Ruffolo.
This visit is part of the bilateral cooperation, where the US representatives were first admitted by the OC Commander Brigadier General Besnik Emini, the 1st IBde Commander Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski and the AF WING Commander Colonel Igorcho Stoimenovski.
During the visit guests were given presentations on the units; the structure and capacities of the Army commands and units; the process of transformation and modernization; the process of interoperability with NATO and the prospect of continuing military cooperation in order to exchange experiences with the US armed forces through various trainings and military exercises; as well as on AF WING aircrafts.
At the end of this visit the AF WING organized a short display of equipment used by the Helicopter Squadron and Flying Training Squadron of the AF WING, enabling the quests an opportunity to closely grasp the condition and capacities of the same.
