On 29 July 2026, at the Command and Staff of the 1st Infantry Brigade, the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, met with Major Marcus Worthington, the newly appointed officer of the Permanent Military Training Team of the United Kingdom Armed Forces for the Western Balkans. He also wished the outgoing officer every success in his new assignment.
During the meeting, both sides welcomed the continued strong bilateral cooperation with the UK Armed Forces’ training team, particularly in strengthening capabilities, conducting joint exercises, and enhancing interoperability through training and courses for the Army’s infantry units in accordance with NATO standards.
In the upcoming period, the implementation of planned activities with the training team and the Army’s units will continue.
