Today, the 6th of May, 2014, at the Joint Operational Command (JOC), there was a lecture on “Staff Organization and Staff Functions while Making Military Decisions” with the postgraduate students at the “Specialization on Command and Staff Duties” (SCSD) studies.
At JOC visit, JOC Commander Major General Metodija Velichkovski gave an introductory lecture and afterwards Chiefs of sections had separate presentations about staff organization and staff functions at the operational command level.
Previously, on the 29th of April, 2014, the postgraduate students of SCSD studies visited the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade Command in Petrovec where they got familiar with staff organization and staff functions at the brigade command level.
After the lectures, the postgraduate students went around the JOC operational center and its sections.
The aim of the visit of the postgraduate students of SCSD studies was to train them in the process of staff work through practice and accomplishment of a task by involving all staff sections. Moreover, they have improved their knowledge in this area which will be useful in their future work after completing their postgraduate studies.
