On 22 January 2026, with a military ceremony held at the “Ilinden” Barracks, the official assumption of duty the Commander of the Signal Battalion, within the Operations Command (OC) was held. Lieutenant Colonel Ace Karajovanoski assumed the position of Signals Battalion Commander. The Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, and the newly appointed Signals Battalion Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ace Karajovanoski addressed the lined up unit and the attending guests.
In his speech, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, emphasized that leading the Signals Battalion represents a great responsibility, which requires continued commitment to courage, a high level of professional expertise, determination, and leadership as core values that characterize service personnel of the Signals branch of the Army. The Signals Battalion serves as the primary place for professional development.
The incoming Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ace Karajovanoski, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him to lead the Signals Battalion and emphasized that he will put maximum effort to provide clear guidance and support for the development of the Signals Battalion. He added that together they will continue to work cohesively as one team to accomplish the mission of the Signals Battalion.
In addition to the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, the Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, the Chiefs of the J-6 Sections from the General Staff and the Operations Command, former commanders of the Signal Regiment and the Signals Battalion, commanders of units within the Operations Command, and other guests.
