Today 26th August (Wednesday) at the barracks “Ilinden” in Skopje there was a handover of responsibility ceremony of the Military Police Batallion (MPBn) Commander within the Joint Operations Command (JOC).
MPBn Commander Lieutenant Colonel Robert Tasevski gave over the responsibility to Lieutenant Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, who has been a Chief of Staff at the MPBn.
The ceremony was attended by the JOC Commander Brigadier General Vasko Gjurchinovski, representatives of the MoD and GS of ARM, and commanders of the commands and units stationed at barracks “Ilinden”.
General Gjurchinovski said that:” We as the command are proud of the successes achieved in training and exercises, as well as the everyday activities related to the safety of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia that have been accomplished by this unit in the previous period.”
At the same time he thanked the former MPBn Commander for the manner in which he led the unit and his contribution for all the achieved results of the unit.
He congratulated the newly appointed commander on his post and wished him success in commanding the unit and ceremonially presented him with the flag of the unit.
In his speech the now former commander of the MPBn Lieutenant Colonel Robert Tasevski expressed his gratitude to the unit’s members for the support he was given during his commanding of the unit.
The newly appointed commander of MPBn Lieutenant Colonel Vasko Kokolanski said that it was an honor and pleasure to lead a unit which has proven on numerous occasions to be able to face any sort of challenges.
The Military Police Battalion as of today has started joint training activities at the Army Training Area “Krivolak” with the members of the Army of the United States of America and in this period the declared company within the MPBn will train for the forthcoming NATO evaluation level 2.
