Today, 13th January 2015, a military ceremony was held at the Ilinden barracks in Skopje on the occasion of the handover of duty of a Signals Battalion Commander, of the Joint Operational Command (JOC).
The ceremony was attended by the deputy commander of JOC, Brigadier General Muhamet Racaj; Chief of Staff at JOC, Brigadier General Stojan Dimchov; Commander of the 1st mechanized infantry brigade General Pavle Arsoski, representatives of the GS and of the ARM and other commanders of the directly subordinate units of JOC.
During the handover ceremony, in accordance with the Rules of the ARM military protocol, deputy commander of JOC, Brigadier General Muhamet Racaj , former Signals Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Stanko Velkov and the newly assigned commander, Major Dragan Gjorgjievski made a speech.
While performing the duty, Colonel Stanko Velkov largely contributed to the building of the combat readiness of the unit, and showed how highly professional and capable leaders successfully deal with all challenges.
Major Dragan Gjorgjievski acquired his military education at the Military Academy ‘General Mihailo Apostolski’ Skopje, he is attending the professional and specialist studies for command and staff assignments of the ARM, at the military academy ‘General Mihailo Apostolski’ Skopje. During his military career he has been assigned: platoon commander, company commander and chief of staff-Signals Battalion Deputy Commander.
