Today at the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip, a military ceremony was held on the occasion of handover of the duty Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion within the 1st Infantry Brigade. Lieutenant Colonel Stojanche Kostov received the duty Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion from Lieutenant Mirche Tasev. Lieutenant Colonel Kostov handed over the duty Commander of the 1st Infantry Battalion on 11.11.2019.
Today’s ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command, Major General Pavle Arsovski, deputy Commander of 1st Infantry Brigade Lieutenant Colonel Vasko Kokolanski, chief of sections from the command of the brigade, chiefs of units within the 1st Infantry Brigade and other guests.
Deputy Commander of 1st Infantry Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Vasko Kokolanski addressed the guests with a speech and pointed out the activities completed by the unit previously and congratulated the outgoing and the newly appointed commander. The outgoing Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Mirche Tasev expressed his gratitude to the personnel of the unit for the their support, while the newly appointed Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Stojanche Kostov expressed his gratitude for the trust to be the Commander of the 2nd Infantry Battalion and emphasized that he will command the unit diligently and responsibly.
The outgoing Commander was presented a plaque with the logo of the unit by the members of the battalion.
The ceremony ended with a handing over of the military flag of the unit.
