A military ceremony with handing over the military flag was held today at the “Kuzman Josifovski-Pitu” barracks in Tetovo to mark the Change of Command of the 3rd Infantry Battalion (3rd IBn) within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde).
Today’s ceremony was attended by the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski, the Commander of the 1st IBde, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, Chiefs of Sections from the Operations Command, the 1st IBde Command and Staff personnel, unit commanders, former commanders, and other guests.
The duty of Commander of the 3rd IBn was handed over from Lieutenant Colonel Tomica Ristoski to Major Mile Stanoevski, who previously served in the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion.
At the ceremony, the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, among other things, stated: “To lead a unit composed of highly motivated, professional, well-trained, and competent personnel requires a commander with exceptional leadership skills and capabilities. Being a commander is a great responsibility, but also a duty to remain committed to the values of courage, honor, and leadership that distinguish the members of the 1st Infantry Brigade”
The outgoing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Ristoski, expressed his gratitude to the unit’s personnel for their support during his term, while the incoming commander, Major Stanoevski, pledged to lead the unit with full dedication and responsibility. He also thanked everyone for the trust placed in him to carry out this role.
The outgoing commander was presented a plaque featuring the emblem of the unit by members of the battalion.
