From 26 January to 6 February 2025, Staff Officers from the 1st Infantry Brigade (1IBde) participated in the international field exercise Kis 25 in Kars, Republic of Turkiye. The event included participants from the Armed Forces of Turkiye, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Pakistan, and the United States.
Kis 25 exercise aimed to enhance interoperability and multinational collaboration, foster knowledge-sharing and lessons-learned dissemination, and improve decision-making processes for unit deployment during offensive ground operations supported by military aviation.
Staff officers from the 1IBde assigned to corps and brigade headquarters sections executed their tasks promptly and professionally, adhering to the exercise’s objectives and required standards.
As part of the exercise, participants visited Kars’ cultural heritage sites and a Turkish defense industry exhibition at the military training area where the drills were conducted.
