In the “Chede Filipovski – Dame” barracks in Kichevo, the members of the 4th Infantry Battalion (4th IBn) within the 1st Infantry Brigade (1st IBde) traditionally marked May 21, the Day of the Unit, with a military ceremony, which continues the traditions of the formation of the Kichevo-Mavrovo partisan Unit.
On this occasion, the Commander of the 4th IBn, Lieutenant Colonel Goran Trajanoski, and the commander of the 1st IBde, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski addressed the present. In their speeches they emphasized the engagements of the members of the Unit in the previous period, their current duties, as well as the upcoming activities.
The Reconnaissance Platoon, within the Command Company of the Battalion, was declared the best platoon for its professionalism, preparedness and the results achieved. Incentive measures were also awarded.
A day before the ceremony, in cooperation with the Red Cross and the Department of Transfusion, a blood donation campaign was carried out in which 96 units of blood were collected.
The ceremony ended with a Tactical-technical display (TT-display) on several working points, during which the guests had the opportunity to familiarize with some of the weaponry and equipment of the unit.
The Day of the Unit was also attended by commanders of the subordinate commands and units of the General Staff of the Army, representatives from the state administration, public institutions and services, representatives of the local self-government in the unit’s area of responsibility, as well as legal and natural persons with whom the unit cooperates.
