From the 1 to 5 December, 2025, a workshop was held at the military barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip to develop the Concept of Operations, which represents a phase in the ongoing preparations within the planning process for the upcoming national exercise “Flash 26.”
After the Exercise Director gave his introductory and welcoming remarks, the Primary Responsibility Officer structured the duties and responsibilities to guide personnel from the Syndicates toward fulfilling their assigned tasks.
During the workshop, the unions carried out an update of the documents within the Exercise Plan and developed a working version of the operational order for the exercise “Blesok 26.”
As part of the workshop, the exercise planning team and the evaluation team had a coordination meeting, which assessed the combat readiness of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (LIBG).
During the workshop, a reconnaissance of the Army Training Area “Krivolak” was also conducted to do a terrain assessment, which is crucial for planning the activities which would be carried out during the exercise.
The activities carried out and the conclusions drawn from the completion of the workshop represent a solid basis for further preparations leading up to the start of the next phase of the planning process and the successful conduct of the Main Planning Conference, scheduled to take place in January 2026.
