From 6 to 10 October 2025, at the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip, a workshop was held for developing the plan (EXPLAN) for the exercise “Flash 26” (F26). The activity represents a continuation of the “Macedonian Flash” series of exercises.
As part of the tactical exercise F26, an evaluation of the Light Infantry Battalion Group (LIBG) will be conducted, with the aim of assessing and enhancing the combat readiness of the unit, in accordance with the NATO’s Land Command Combat Readiness Evaluation Standards (CREVAL).
At the opening of the workshop, the exercise director addressed the participants, highlighting the importance of the planning documents to be developed, which will serve as the foundation for the next stages of the exercise planning process.
The officer with primary responsibility for the exercise defined the duties and responsibilities in order to ensure coordinated work and successful completion of assigned tasks.
The workshop concluded with a discussion and presentation of the developed documents, along with directions for the next steps in planning Exercise F26.
The planning process for Exercise “Flash 26” will continue in November with the Initial Planning Conference (IPC), organized by the exercise planning team with the support of additional required personnel.
