Today, students from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the “Goce Delchev” University – Shtip visited the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip.
Professor Dr. Oliver Cackov, Head of the Department of History and Archaeology, accompanied the students. While visiting, the students had the opportunity to see the memorial room and the Macedonian room, as well as to learn about the capacities of the military barracks and part of the weapons, materiel and technical equipment of the 2nd Infantry Battalion, within the First Infantry Brigade.
During this educational and informative visit, the students learned about the role, mission, and significance of the unit within the Army. In addition, they learned about the historical, cultural, and institutional heritage nurtured by the unit and the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Shtip.
This kind of cooperation represents an important step toward enhancing and improving Civil-Military Cooperation between the Army and educational institutions in our country.
