The Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski”- Skopje marked the beginning of the new academic year today, with the traditional first academic lecture for the new generation of cadets. The event was attended by the Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, the Dean of the Military Academy, Colonel Prof. Ph.D. Nenad Taneski, the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, as well as professors and commanders.
The Chief of the General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, wished the new generation of cadets a successful start to the academic year, emphasizing that choosing the officer profession means committing to responsible service to the state and its citizens.
In his address, he highlighted that the new cadets are embarking on a period filled with education, military training and hard work, but also with the development of the officer‘s character based on integrity, discipline, responsibility and determination.
A special welcome was extended to the cadets from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are joining the Military Academy family this academic year. The importance of joint preparation, interoperability, and building mutual trust and cooperation was emphasized.
As part of the first academic lecture, General Lafchiski presented the new cadets with their student record books and wished them success and perseverance in overcoming the challenges that lie ahead.
With the beginning of the new academic year, the new generation of cadets is embarking on a journey toward acquiring the knowledge, skills and values necessary for their future officer profession and for the successful performance of duties in the Army.
