Representatives of the Vermont National Guard and the U.S. Embassy conducted training in the CBRN platoon in the period from 26 to 30 January.
During the training, the proficiency of the personnel was assessed in the areas of reconnaissance, collection of contaminated samples, analysis, and decontamination. Special emphasis was also placed on medical training, specifically on the management of casualties, triage, and the assessment of symptoms depending on the type of contamination.
On 29 January 2026, as part of the training, an exercise titled “Mass Decontamination” was conducted. During the exercise, reception, triage, and decontamination of injured persons were carried out, applying standard operating procedures and appropriate protective equipment.
Through such activities, the CBRN unit strengthens its operational readiness and its capability to support the Army and civilian institutions.
