Rangers of the Combat-Reconnaissance Company did sniper training at the ATA ‘Penush’ in order to enhance their sniper skills, individually and in sniper teams.
During the training, at ATA ‘Penush’, different special, single, and command firings were carried out where the participants displayed maximum efficiency in shooting with a sniper rifle and long-range sniper rifles. Besides firing practice, there was also training in planning sniper missions; guiding fire support; masking; solving intellectual-memory tasks while determining aims, and tactical movement in open space in sniper teams, as well as individually. Such training enables Ranger sniper teams to be prepared to fulfill high-priority and high-risk tasks at all times, once again confirming the battalion’s motto ‘Always one step ahead’ .
Sniper training includes a broad array of subjects and disciplines designed to improve the cognitive, physical and psychological state of the sniper, and furthermore establish him as a versatile force on the battlefield with high-level efficiency, destruction power and high-percentage survival skills at the battlefield.
