On 4th of March in Stip, Vinica, Kumanovo and Dračevo was marked thirteen anniversary the death of Captain Kirco Dimitrov and professional soldiers Teodor Stojanovski and Dejan Јakimovski, members of the 1. Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1st MIB) whose life tragically ended in conflict in 2001.
Traditionally on the marking, despite the laying of fresh flowers on grave sites, was held sports competitions between members of the 1st MIB, students, relatives and friends of fallen.
This year, in the birthplace of Captain Kirco Dimitrov – Vinica, on the initiative of the municipal council and the mayor, based on the excellent civil military cooperation, sports arena in the city, was named in his honor.
At the ceremony, besides the members of the second mechanized infantry battalion from Stip, attended Mayor, representatives of several civil organizations of the city, as well as relatives and friends of the deceased.
In Kumanovo, in memory of fallen member pfv Dejan Jakimovski, representatives from the 1. mechanized infantry battalion organized and participated in a soccer tournament which was conducted at the primary school “Christian Todorovski Karposh”.
