Today, December 28th (Saturday), organized by the members of the Air Force WING, at the military part of Skopje International Airport at the barracks “Straso Pindzur” in Petrovec, a New Year’s Day gift-giving ceremony was held for the children of the WING employees, as well as for the children of other Army and MoD commands and units. The MoD also provided gifts for the children from orphanages “11 Oktomvri” and “25 Maj”.
Traditionally, this year as well, the Army’s transport helicopter arrived and the most beloved New Year’s character of the youngest, Santa Claus, brought New Year’s gifts.
The traditional ceremony was attended by over 400 children who had the unique opportunity to watch the symbolic arrival of Santa Claus with a transport military helicopter, after which they were given New Year’s gifts at the WING’s premises. The activity was enriched with a cultural art program, performance of the group for rhythmic dance “Dance Studio Mak” from Kumanovo and the cultural artistic association “Goce Markovski” from Skopje. This event has traditionally been held for more than 20 years on the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays, and because of its attractiveness, this year was very popular with the youngest audience.
