From 9 to 10 December 2025, an Army delegation led by Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski participated in the 2025 Alliance Warfare Development (AWD) Conference, held at NATO’s Allied Command Transformation (ACT) in Norfolk, Virginia, USA.
The conference was attended by the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, Colonel Vasil Mitevski from the Ministry of Defense, and Army staff officers serving at NATO Allied Command Transformation, Colonel Marjan Milenkovski and Colonel Ivan Atanasovski.
The purpose of the NATO conference was to assess the new geopolitical conditions, as well as the ways and opportunities offered by new capabilities and technologies for present-day and future warfare. Discussions also focused on readiness of the forces and capabilities required for future operations along with strengthening the capacities of NATO member states.
